Is FlinxLayer a real network operator? +
Yes. FlinxLayer is an independent internet and mobile network operator โ€” a registered company building and running its own routed IP network and autonomous system, within the RIPE NCC region. We're not a reseller riding on someone else's pipes โ€” see Our network for the technical detail.
How does switching to FlinxLayer work? +
We handle it for you. Once you've ordered, we arrange your install and manage the switch from your old provider so it all happens on a single changeover day โ€” no double bills and, on most lines, no downtime. We'll confirm your go-live date in advance.
Will I really get the speed I'm paying for? +
Our full-fibre plans are symmetrical, so your upload matches your download, straight to the property over FTTP. Because the line is dedicated fibre rather than shared copper, you get the speed you signed up for at peak times too. You can run a live speed check any time in the app.
Do you put prices up mid-contract? +
No. The price you sign up at is the price you pay for your whole term โ€” no inflation-linked rises, no surprise adjustments buried in the small print. When your term ends we'll tell you clearly what changes, if anything.
Can I keep my mobile number? +
Yes โ€” number porting is free. Request a PAC code from your current provider, enter it when you set up your SIM or eSIM, and we'll move your number across, usually within one working day. Your eSIM can activate instantly while the port completes.
How do I report abuse or a security issue on your network? +
Email our abuse desk at abuse@flinxlayer.com, which is monitored 24/7. Please include logs, timestamps and the IP address involved so we can act quickly. Our handling rules are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
